5 Top Tips To Win More With Any Lottery

Here's 5 top tips to bear in mind next time you complete your lottery playslip. They won't increase your CHANCES of winning - because ONLY more entries can do that.

BUT they can significantly increase the AMOUNT you win when your numbers do come up.

How?

Because all 5 lottery tips are based on avoiding the way a lot of other people pick their numbers. If you pick lottery numbers the same way as most people do, then when you hit the jackpot, you share that prize with everybody else who picked the same numbers.

That can turn a jackpot pool of millions into a prize of just thousands! It happens all too often - so please don't let it happen to you.

Here's those quick tips for making sure that your lottery jackpot is the life changing sum you are looking for:

[1] Don't pick numbers that have already won, especially not from recent draws. Many players believe that winnings numbers are somehow lucky and therefore more likely to come up. Of course that isn't true, but a lot of people do it.

[2] Don't pick numbers based on an arithmetic sequences, such as 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, or 01, 11, 21, 31, 41, 49. People like number patterns - you would be stunned at how many people pick this way every single week.

[3] Don't pick numbers according to a 'tip' service. Just imagine how many other people will use the same numbers!

[4] Don't pick numbers purely according to family birthdays. Enormous numbers of lottery players choose the day of the birthday of family members when selecting lottery numbers. But there are only 31 days at most in a month - which means an awful lot of people pick all their numbers in that range.

[5] Don't make a pattern on your playslip. Diagonal or straight lines in any direction, star shapes, boxes, zig-zags etc. You might think who else would do that? The answer is anywhere from tens of people to tens of THOUSANDS of people!

The easiest, fastest way to pick better lottery numbers, is to pick them totally at random. So pull scraps of paper out of a bag. It won't guarantee NOT picking a 'bad' set of numbers, but at least there's a good chance you won't be sharing your lottery millions with a hundred other 'lucky' winners.

Do You Have to Guess Your Lotto Numbers in Exact Order to Win the Lottery Jackpot?

If you have never played the lottery, you might be asking yourself if you have to guess your lotto numbers in exact order to win the jackpot. Luckily, you don't have to; all you have to do is choose your numbers and as long as they all get drawn, in any order, you win.

I say luckily for a reason - The odds of winning the jackpot in a lottery are bad. If you had to guess your numbers in exact order, it would be impossible because the odds would be much worse. How much worse would it be? Read on to see the math.

Let's look at an example. One of the most popular lotto formats in the world is 6/49, where you must match 6 numbers out of a possible 49. To calculate the odds of winning the 649 jackpot, you must calculate the following equation: (49x48x47x46x45x44)/(1x2x3x4x5x6). The answer is 13,983,816. That means that the odds of winning are 1-in-13,983,816. Now, if you had to guess the numbers drawn, but also had to guess the exact order that they are drawn, this is how you would calculate the odds: 49x48x47x46x45x44. The answer is 10,068,347,520. That means that the odds of winning the jackpot would be 1-in-10,068,347,520. That's more than 1-in-10-billion. Now that would be virtually impossible to win.

As it is now, hundreds of people win lottery jackpots every year. If people had to guess lotto numbers in exact order, we'd be lucky to see just one big winner in a five year period. If this were the case, most people wouldn't even play any more.

The Essence and Importance of Licensing in Online Bingo

The popularity and mass appeal that online bingo enjoys today would not have been possible had the game not been considerate of player safety. With the need to part with one's sensitive personal information such as banking details, players attach a lot of importance to sites that adhere to the safety regulations. This is probably why the importance of licensed online bingo sites cannot be stressed enough. Though the rules and regulations related to online bingo might not be as interesting to know about as the game itself is, their presence ensures that players can indulge in a good game of bingo without the lurking fear of their confidential information being abused.

As online bingo falls under gambling, the rules and regulations associated with UK bingo are part of the Gambling Act 2005. According to the act, all internet bingo sites should be licensed in any one of the many countries approved by it. Without this, no online bingo site is allowed to advertise in the UK. This Act sets up the Gambling Commission which is the regulatory body for gaming machines, sites, bingo clubs and Casinos in Britain. The Commission's website provides a wealth of knowledge on how to obtain a license and other frequently asked questions. This list of countries, also referred to as the White List, consists of the following:

- Gibraltar Licensing Authority
- Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC)
- Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission
- Malta Lotteries &Gaming Authority
- Antigua Online Gaming Association
- Tasmania Department of Treasury and Finance
- All countries in the European Economic Area (EEA)

Though playing with a site that is not licensed under one of these countries from the White List is not illegal, it amounts to playing with a site that does not merit the government's approval. The argument behind this is that such sites might not adhere to the practiced standards of safety and hence, might not be completely safe for the players. A look at the best bingo operators and the countries they are licensed under, validates the importance of the White List. Some of the major online bingo operators and the countries that have issued a license for them are as follows:

- Cassava - Licensed in Gibraltar and their popular bingo sites are Wink Bingo and Redbus Bingo.
- Virtue Fusion - Licensed in Alderney and used by popular bingo sites such as William Hill and Mecca Bingo.
- Chelbis (Cozy Games) - License issues in Malta and operator of sites such as Gone Bingo and Bingo MagiX.
- Gamesys - Licensed in Gibraltar powering internet bingo sites like Heart Bingo and Sun Bingo.
- Parlay - License issued in Alderney and powering sites likes Crown Bingo and Wonder Bingo.

There are three types of licenses that bingo operators can obtain from the gambling commission to carry out their business. These include an Operating License, a Personal Management License and a Premises License. While some operators may need all three licenses to run their businesses smoothly, some others could suffice with fewer.

The Operating License is the one that most operators providing bingo services cannot do without. Operating licenses, on the other hand, are of two types - non remote bingo operating license and remote bingo operating license. In case of the bingo operation being at home, fund-raising, as prize gaming, etc., the operator need not apply for the Operating License. All those who need the Operating License will also require the Personal Management License, unless they qualify as a small-scale operator. The Premises License, which can be obtained from the local licensing authority, is only for bingo hall based operators.

Apart from opting for a licensed site to play with, players should also look out for the seals of other regulatory bodies such as eCOGRA (e-Commerce Online Gambling Regulation and Assurance) as well as the Gamcare logo to ensure the safest online bingo experience possible. As there are no industry bodies to assist players engaged in a dispute with an online bingo site, precautions such as reading the terms and conditions carefully will go a long way to avoid any untoward situations.
